Details:
While on dungeon runs, there is a chance that a Boss Gate will appear.

Quickly break the Boss Gate (by attacking it) for a Boss Monster to appear!

Boss Gate may randomly appear in dungeons of the following maps:

Bermesiah
Ellia
Xenia
Silver Land
Archemedia
Atum

Defeat the summoned Boss Monster and get a Boss Gate Box!

Boss Gate Box may contain either a Monster Card or a Precious Pearl.

Reminders:

A stage can still be cleared without opening the Boss Gate.
Boss Gate may appear only 1 time per dungeon run.
Boss gate will not appear in boss stage or jumping platform.
Boss Gate Box reward will depend on where the Summoned Boss Gate monster has been defeated.

Article 1: LU Live 2010: For Guild and Glory

Pre-events: The Road to LU Live

- The community team made it sure to disseminate various methods on how to arrive at the World Trade Center courtesy of this thread which was re-posted and relinked to a number of threads both within and outside the Unified Boards.
- The players who were chosen to participate in the championships per game had undergone more than 8 months of endurance and training just to make it to the top. Sure enough, the matches they had provided for the eyes of the gamers proved to be exciting, leaving much of the gamers in awe.

World Trade Center Early Birds

- This year there were 700 slots for the early birds but according to the reports, more than 700 players lined up for the prize in their respective games.
- Players went at the site as early as 2AM of November 5.
- These early bird registrants were advised to bring protection equipment against the rain – caps, jackets, umbrellas, etc and surely enough, it DID rain during the day of the early bird registration. A player came up with the term: Early wet birds. (No PUN intended) XD
- Due to the distinctive “fingerprint” scanning c/o Biometrics, the players had to make it sure to fall in line themselves. Thing is, this didn’t stop the usual “paki-pila ako/kami” scheme, much to the dismay of other gamers who went there themselves – these “smart” gamers made it sure to get back in line with their friend before the stubs were given, *insert loophole here*
Bomb Threat!
- Just kidding. For the players’ and the event’s security, they made sure to confiscate items which they deemed as dangerous. However, amidst the security comparable to bomb threat handlers at MRTs, LRTs and other crowded areas, majority of the gamers were dissatisfied with the way how to security handled their personal belongings: they said that their items were “mishandled and left on the floor”, and that “the security personnel themselves had no idea which item goes to whom” – an event which may lead to stolen items. A funny thing was that, pens and other sharp objects were confiscated, but a Sword went through the gates. ☺

Opening Ceremonies
- This year, we were graced with the entrance of some of the Guilds from LU’s games. It could’ve been better if more than 20 guilds have assembled for the Guild Parade. IMO, because of the number, it was more of just a mere presentation of some guilds than a full-blast parade. Not much glory there though thumbs up for the guilds who participated!
- We were also impressed with the Orchestra who gave us renditions of BGMs / music from our all-time favorite games which ended in the iconic orchestra version of Chixilog by Kamikazee. If I ain’t mistaken, that was my idol, Gerard Salonga who led the orchestra.

Grand Chase Merchandise up for grabs at the LUCC booth

- Due to the number of Grand Chase players who went, reports came in that the GC Merchandise was amongst the first to be declared “out of stock”. Yes, all of the GC Star Pillows were sold out! ( Now where’s that lady from Exempt which I’ve been bugging to trade PINS in exchange for her GC Star Pillow? *hunts* )

GM Cassiel’s come back!

- Of course, every GC player’s experience wouldn’t be complete if they didn’t get to see our beloved GM Cassiel who graced us with her presence for the two day event. She even joined hosting for the Digmaan Championships!
Digmaan Championships: Immortals vs Happy Hour
- This of course, was one of the highlights on why the GC players went there – The Digmaan Championships. After 7 intense battles, Happy Hour (formerly Sayaw Darling) won the match as back-to-back champions 4-3.

Participating Booths: SGC, Exempt and Equinox

SGC – Attendance, Hunt the GM, Pick-A-Prize, Freedom Wall

- This year’s Pick-A-Prize has got to be way better but it personally gave me more migraines. First off: The reason why there was a chance for the gamers to pick “Sorry, you didn’t win a prize” or something like that was because the number of prizes to be given were only limited. Frankly there was no way for us (with the number of players and different faces who registered at the booth) to track who already registered. Admittedly this was one of the loopholes of pick-a-prize. Each player was only intended to do the pick-a-prize ONCE but much to our dismay, a handful of players kept on lining up until they got a prize.
- We sincerely apologize to all the gamers for the number of “emergency maintenance” we had to do for the booth. It’s either we all needed to take the break or had to do something with the Pick-A-Prize event.
- We congratulate the players who went home with their prizes.
- We would also like to thank all the players, FMs (we didn’t notice due to the number of people who wrote here and there, plus the fact that we were also handling the pick-a-prize event, sayang, di man lang namin kayo napasalamatan personally) and GMs (who were ever supportive of SGC’s events) who participated in our first ever Freedom ~~Wall~~ Table!

Grand Chase Marikina EB, April 24 2010

I.T. LOG-AN! - GC Zone Special on the Grand Chase Marikina EB

Marikina was 3 hours from home with traffic. Good thing in my route from Cubao to Marikinam there was light to no traffic at all. The last route which would expectantly take 1 hour took only 30 minutes.

The Incubator

I couldn't find a better word to describe the overall temperature within the I.T. Log PC Shop. There more than 50 players cramped up in the shop that even the air-conditioning system gave up in providing enough cool air. The shop owners decided to just leave the aircons and the wall fans turned on while they opened the door for fresh air with a bonus of Nobody-political-jingles outside. Good thing the bottled water was free for all the players who attended.

The Regionals

The venue wasn't the only thing heating up in I.T. Log. More than 16 Grand Chase teams registered, all of them vying for the title: Marikina EB Regional Champs. Some of the participating guilds included: Synaptix, Mastermind Smile Definitions, Rising Patatas and Equinox. I saw the GM Team handling the event while keeping the crowd going with impromptu spiels and questions for the players. There's nothing better than having a sportsman's handshake after the end of each match. In the end, the Marikina EB Regional Champs was Team Mastermind 69 composed of onats, Pompi and Togashii. Congratulations!

But the people to congratulate doesn't stop there, recognition for those who won the recently concluded Grand Chase Awards 2009 were given. The awardees are as follows:

Games and Raffles

But wait, there's more! While waiting for the Regionals to move on, 2 games were prepared: Jack en Poy and the Longest Meteor. Prizes included a GC ID Lace and 100php Top Up card (O yay I got one!) for the Jack en Poy while CMIIW a 350php top up card for the Longest Meteor.

The Jack en Poy had two rounds since only one player, Linali, managed to get to the finals. At the second round, four more lucky players got the Lace and the top up card.

The Longest Meteor had a number of contenders but only one could win (Marvinsky) who even beat a girl (Solera) for a fraction of milliseconds!

For the raffle, one of the most notable winners was Bapster who won twice in the Cash Set Armor of Choice (Lucky Lucky!) Another are Nauko and Itoshiki who even had a folder for their raffle tickets (They bought as I remember Php 1200 worth?) they won 6 out of the prizes. But the most epic win I'd have to say was Burai's. With a capital of Php 1000 worth of load, he won the last two prizes: The Php500 top up card and the GC Hoodie Jacket! Other side events included Php50 top up cards beneath the tables, and those whose posters are with the GM Team's signatures also got prizes.

It was a BLAST!

Before the EB ended, GM Mac announced the next few patches which would be implemented: Amy's 3rd Job, the Siren and a Purchasing Rewards event with Pet Saku as the Grand Prize. Do want!!!

The EB ended off at around 8:30 pm. Thanks nga pala to GM Cassiel for having a videoke number with me (The classic, Bakit Ngayon Ka Lang) right before we left the EB.

How to Make a Guild

1. Guild Master must be at least Level 30 and has 40,000 GP. Enter the Grand Chase Park and look for the Guild Manager NPC

2. Talk to the Guild Manager NPC and choose Create Guild

3. Enter the desired Guild Name, Website, and short description of your Guild

Notes:
- After creating a Guild, it will be designated as a New Guild, and during this period, you cannot submit a Guild Mark.

- Within the 30 days, if 5 or more guild members are recruited, the Guild's Status will be upgraded from a New Guild to a Regular Guild. Guild Mark Change rights will be given and you will be able to submit a Guild Mark.

- After 30 days of Guild Making, guilds with less than 4 members (including the Guild Master) will be automatically deleted.

Ang bagong GvG ay nandito na. Magkakaroon tayo ng apat na GvG sa loob ng isang taon - base sa apat na kontinente meron tayo sa GC World. Round Robin ang sistema na gagamitin - sa Free Round Robin Tournament Schedule kukunin ang schedule ng matches na lahat ng guild / team na kasama. Tatakbo ang Guild vs Guild every Saturday and Sunday - bigay daan para sa mga estudyante na gustong sumali sa GvG.

How to Join:

1. Form a 3-man team at your guild and register in the following format:

- Guild Name -Team Name: SGC - Team Shadows
- Character Name of Team Captain - Job: Oraez - Mage
- Character Name of Member 1 - Job: Aicirt - Spearmaiden
- Character Name of Member 2 - Job: Albel - Thief

2. You may use any of the (currently six) characters. However, your team must not have repeating characters.

3. Maximum of 8 teams per bracket, we prepared 2 brackets.
Notes: One (1) Team / Representative per Guild.

4. Registration will be first come, first serve basis. First 16 teams to register CORRECTLY will be qualified for that Guild Vs Guilds tournament. Reservations of slots are not allowed. Edited Post would be considered NULL and VOID.

5. Tournament Venue / Time:
Ninko Server Free Class, No item Mode setting / 6:00PM

6. Map Venue:
Elimination Rounds - Marsh of Oblivion (Round 1 - 7)
Semi- Finals - Outer Wall of Serdin - Best of 3 Matches / Race to 2 Wins (Round 8)
Finals - Elven Forest - Best of 5 Matches / Race to 3 Wins (Round 9)

7. Please specify the exact Job to be used when registering for the whole duration of the tournament. Participants will not be allowed to change line-ups once registered.

8. The Host of the event shall specify the team who will create a room for matches.

9. Uncheck 'Auto Invite Block'� and 'Block Whisper'� in your Game Settings. Players will be PM by the host to tell the room number and password when their time comes, so ALL PLAYERS must be available at their appointed/scheduled match time.

10. Players tardy or did not show up for their match for 15 minutes automatically forfeits their match.

General Conditions

1. The condition of advancing to the next round is to win just one match. For this GvG, it's a system where the winners get out and losers go up. So the top of the chart represents of a failure but there will be at least two chances for every team to win.

2. Semi -Finals will be a race to 2 wins (Best of 3 Matches).

3. Finals will be a race to 3 wins (Best of 5 Matches). Team who achieves 3 wins first will be the winner.

Player Responsibilities and Grounds for Disqualification

1. Failure to arrive during the scheduled match will make the present team (3 man team) an automatic winner.

2. It is the responsibility of the team to assure / check their internet connection's performance. Any disconnections due to connection failure / lag or latency will not re-start the match.

Isa itong MEDIA GROUP na magbibigay ng ilang SERBISYO para sa Grand Chase Community (GCph players / GCph GM). Hango sa sarili nitong pangalan na "SHADOWS OF GRAND CHASE", ang mga taong nakapaloob sa grupo na ito ay ang "SHADOWS" na animo isang ANINO na handang TUMULONG sa "GRAND CHASE" (GM at ibang players). Ito ay may layunin na gawing isa ang lahat ng PLAYERS lalo na ang mga FORUMER/S dito sa GCph FORUM.

Ang mga SERBISYO na maibibigay ng grupong ito ay IN-GAME at ON-GROUND EVENTS. Mag gagawad kami ng maliliit na EVENT para sa mga player (IN-GAME), magsasagawa din ang grupo nato ng isang ENTERTAINMENT SHOWCASE (ON-GROUND, tuwing magkakaron ng EVENT ang LEVEL - UP para sa GRAND CHASE PHILIPPINES. )

Isasagawa din ng SHADOWS OF GRAND CHASE ang GUILD RANK, GUILD vs GUILD, GUILD OF THE MONTH, GC RECORDS, HALL OF FAME, at marami pang iba.
